1. The promotion is organised by Enable Networks Limited (Enable) to encourage property owners at addresses within an eligible network extension project outside Enable’s existing UFB coverage area (Eligible Address) to install fibre to their homes using self-trenching methods (the Promotion). The eligible network extension projects are provided on the Enable website at https://www.enable.net.nz/connect-to-fibre/extending-our-network
2. These terms and conditions (Terms) shall apply to the Promotion and entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms by a participant.
3. The Promotion runs from Monday 19 August 2024 at 12am to 31 December 2024 at 11:59pm inclusive (Promotion Period). Enable retains the right and sole discretion to grant entry into the Promotion to property owners at an Eligible Address who met the eligibility requirements below before the Promotion began.
4. To be eligible for entry into the Promotion, the participant must have Enable fibre connected to their Eligible Address during the Promotion Period, where:
(a) At least 75% of the on-property civil work has been done by self-trenching (to a minimum amount of 20 metres and in accordance with the trenching requirements below), and
(b) Of the remaining on-property connection distance, 5 metres or less is hard trenching.
5. All trenching distances in these Terms only include areas on the participant’s private property and exclude any distances within shared accessway areas (as determined by Enable).
6. The Incentive is either a $200, $400 or $600 eGift card (the Incentive). The Incentive amount is determined by the meterage of self-trenching undertaken by the participant, with 20 - 39.99 metres being eligible for a $200 eGift Card, 40 – 59.99 metres being eligible for a $400 eGift Card and 60+ metres being eligible for a $600 eGift Card. The participant will be advised which Incentive they may be eligible for by the Enable technician at the on-property plan appointment before any civil work takes place (Plan Appointment).
7. The self-trenching work must be done within 3 months following the participant’s sign off on the Plan Appointment scope and must adhere to Enable’s self-trenching guidelines (available at https://www.enable.net.nz/assets/Preparing-their-home/49_ENA0034_Fibre_Duct_Specs_04.pdf).
8. An Enable technician will confirm satisfaction with the self-trench completion during the final appointment when fibre is connected in the participant’s home (the Connect Appointment). After confirmation at the Connect Appointment, the Incentive will be emailed to the participant's contact address (provided during fibre installation registration) within 5 working days.
9. The Incentive offered under this Promotion can only be claimed once per Eligible Address and can’t be claimed in conjunction with any other incentives being offered by Enable. The Incentive is not transferrable or exchangeable for cash.
10. The participant agrees that by providing their email address to Enable for the purpose of this Promotion, Enable may share their email address with a third-party provider who will deliver the electronic gift card to the participant through a third-party platform.
11. Enable’s decision in relation to any part of the Promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, illegible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Enable will take no responsibility for late entries or entries not received.
12. Enable reserves the right to cancel the Promotion at any time at its sole discretion. In the event of such cancellation, Enable may elect not to offer any Incentives.
13. The Promotion is open to all Canterbury residents aged 18 years and over. The Promotion is not open to employees and contractors of Enable or employees of Enable’s internet service providers.
14. Enable and its related companies, employees, officers and agents take no responsibility for incorrect, illegible or other unsuccessful attempts to enter the Promotion.
15. The Participants agree not to publicise their involvement in the Promotion, the fact that the Participant has received an Incentive or any information relating to Enable or its related companies without Enable’s prior written consent.
16. Enable and its related companies, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss and irrespective of how the loss or damage was caused including due to Enable’s negligence) suffered or sustained in connection with this Promotion or in connection with the Incentive, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Enable and its related companies, officers, employees and agents will not be liable to perform any of its obligations under the promotion or in respect of the Incentives where it is unable to do so as a result of circumstances beyond its reasonable control and shall not be liable to compensate the participant in such circumstances.
17. Any personal information collected in connection with this Promotion will be held by Enable and its related companies for the purpose of the Promotion, Enable’s own market research and direct marketing and as set out in these Terms unless otherwise directed by participants at the time of entry. Participants have rights to access any personal information about them held by Enable, and to request that a correction be made to that information.
18. Enable does not accept any liability in relation to the provision of goods and/or performance of services by the third-party eGift card company.
